A Midweek Workshop at the first Pop-Up for 2026 at the 1697 Shop in Faversham!
We’ll make an A5 (ish!) book using old envelopes, unwanted books, wrapping paper, maps, offcuts, old artwork, and whatever bits and pieces you might like to bring along, too. (Combine this workshop with Tuesday morning’s Gelli print workshop making monoprints and bring these with you or leave them in the shop for safekeeping. See the offer below)
We’ll prepare a collaged hard cover for our selected pages and sew them into place, making a unique up-cycled book – an ideal home for more mixed media collage and drawing.

In the workshop you will learn about:
Paper grain
Cover construction
Sewing techniques
Some common bookbinding tools and how to use them safely
Classes are taught through practical demonstrations and supported hands on work. Papers and materials will vary.
