Description
A bookbinding workshop in Faversham
Saturday, 6th February 2027
10:00am – 4:30pm
Creative Courses, Sidings Close, Faversham, ME13 8GE
Paste paper is used for surface design. In bookbinding, it was historically a cheap and easy to produce alternative to traditional marbled papers.
Add colour to wheat paste and apply it directly to the surface of the paper sheet. We’ll experiment with brushes, combs, decorative stamps, fingers, and any tools we can come up with to make a variety of patterns and effects. Once they’re dry, we’ll use the paper we’ve made to make non-adhesive sewn books in a variety of stitches.
Bindfulness workshop venues are in Faversham.
Creative Courses is a multi-use creative space. Tea and coffee, quality teaching, and materials are provided… you just turn up and enjoy your day. There is plenty of parking and the venue is 15 minutes walk from Faversham train station. The Creative Courses Workshop is on the first floor of Unit 1C. There is no lift.
The 1697 Shop is right in the heart of Faversham at 121 West Street.
